Last year we planted lots of lavender, lilies and other perennial flowers in preparation for our daughter’s wedding. This year the blooms have been even better than they were a year ago, and we’ve been enjoying cut flowers at home and in the office.
We did share some of the lilies (and hostas, and other flowers) with the deer, but they couldn’t get to ones that were in our fenced-in garden. Here’s a photo of one that’s not as big as some of the lilies, but which I really like. The delicate green and yellow stands out from the white background and it’s a very striking flower.
