This morning the NJ Real Estate Commission sent me official notification that they’ve issued me my real estate Broker’s license.
As a broker, I can do several things that real estate agents can’t do. Although I don’t intend to open a real estate office (at least not at this time), the additional knowledge I have will help me serve my clients even better, whether they’re buyers or sellers.
Ongoing education is important in every profession, but it isn’t emphasized as much in real estate as it is in my former career (health care). I believe in lifelong learning, and that’s why I’ve earned my GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) designation, the highest designation in real estate. That’s why I attend the programs and seminars at the annual 3-day joint NJ/NY/PA real estate meeting. That’s why I became a broker. Every day, part of my role is to provide as much information as I can to my real estate clients so they can make informed decisions. The more I know, the more I can share.
My clients will experience my broker’s competence first hand. However, I’d also like this blog to reflect some of the new knowledge I’ve gained. Please feel free to suggest real estate topics you’d like covered in future posts. Rumson-Fair Haven real estate is the primary focus of this blog, but I’ll include any subject related to real estate, home buying and selling, etc.
